Andrew G. Benjamin is an equities trader, tax and real estate specialist; former transition member of the NYC Mayor’s Economic Development Commission; Subcommittee on Taxation, Finance and the Budget; musician; author on matters political, cultural, humor, and technology. AGB wrote for The Absolute Sound for about a decade and a half in the early eighties through the mid nineties, and witnessed the melding, manifestation and the morphing of the art and science of the High End inside the very cauldron from where the formative conceptual framework that make for today's audio scene had erupted. Among the cognoscenti AGB may have been first to suggest that "Digital Sucks" (1981-2) and the last to adopt digital for his own listening addiction (late 2011).
